Overcoming Adversity

What do you do when life’s burdens are weighing you down?

Do you crawl up into a ball and cry…

OR

do you stand tall and fight your way through like a soldier?

Through sharing the story about being a caregiver for my mother, I revealed a personal struggle that I face in my own life.

However, I’m sure out of the dozens of people that read my story, liked it, and left comments, many of you are facing adversity in your own life.

I say simply…

THIS IS LIFE.

Life has mercy for no one.

No matter if you’re a man or woman, rich or poor, black or white.

What makes the difference is where you have POSITIONED yourself in life.

Did you build your house on a sandy beach by the ocean…

OR

did you build it on dry land with concrete reinforcement?

Out of these scenarios, who do you think would be most concerned about a hurricane?

As I reflect on my own life, I can honestly say that had I not made the decision to go into business for myself 17 years ago, I would not be able to provide the care for my mother the way I do today.

My boss wouldn’t understand why I was coming to work late or needed to take days off for a hospital visit.

As far as he’s concerned, you don’t bring your personal problems into the workplace. Doing so, could lead to termination.

If you want power of over life’s burdens, it’s to your advantage to position yourself so that they can be dealt with…

financially, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

So I ask you, does your house need to be rebuilt?
